Giữ Lock ratio ON khi resize. Nhập New Width, công cụ sẽ tự động tính New Height để giữ nguyên tỷ lệ, hoặc ngược lại. Nếu cần crop (thay đổi ratio), tắt Lock và chấp nhận một phần content bị cắt. Trong image editors, dùng 'Constrain Proportions' option. Trong video editors, set sequence ratio trước khi import footage.
YouTube recommend 16:9 cho videos thông thường (landscape). YouTube Shorts dùng 9:16 (vertical). YouTube player có thể hiển thị các ratios khác (4:3, 21:9) nhưng sẽ có letterbox (black bars) ở hai bên hoặc trên dưới. 16:9 với resolution 1920x1080 (1080p) hoặc 3840x2160 (4K) là optimal cho quality và compatibility.

4:3 (1.33:1) là ratio cũ của CRT TVs, iPad screens. Hình vuông hơn, cao hơn.
